Parent Coaching & Workshops

Supporting parents who want to show up differently.

A parent and young child playing at the shore

You're doing something new.

You're raising your kids in real time, without the roadmap most of us wished we'd been given. You want to show up steady when your child is upset, frustrated, or having big feelings. You want to model something you weren't shown. And you want to interrupt patterns that you can feel yourself repeating.

Most of us weren't taught how to regulate. We were taught to move forward, push through, and treat anxiety, stress, or big emotion as something to fix or get past. But what if, from an early age, we learned that our body is signalling a need? What if we could recognize when anxiety is fear holding us back, when frustration is a boundary we haven't named, when overwhelm is a nervous system asking for support?

Coaching and workshops build the tools to notice those signals, in ourselves and in our children, alongside other parents in the same season.

Some of what parents bring in:

01 You react in ways you promised yourself you wouldn't

The moment your child hits an edge, your own old edges wake up. Coaching helps you notice the pattern and shift it, not through willpower, but through skill.

02 Your child's big feelings flood you before they've even finished

Co-regulation is the piece most parenting content skips. When your system can stay steady, theirs can start to settle.

03 You know what you don't want to pass down, but not what to pass down instead

Coaching offers the frameworks and language for what to do differently, in the moments where you don't have a script.

04 The gap between how you want to parent and how you actually parent feels bigger every week

That gap isn't a failure. It's a signal you're ready for tools that weren't handed to you. We close it by building them.

05 You feel like you're failing quietly in a role no one prepared you for

You're not failing. You're doing something new: parenting with more awareness than most of us were given tools for. That takes support.

06 You want your child to grow up feeling something you didn't

Regulated. Understood. Safe to feel everything. This is deep work, changing what we pass on, one family at a time.

Whether you're navigating early years, big feelings, teenage struggles, or your own patterns rising up in parenting, the tools we build here are the ones most of us weren't given.

If any of this lands, you're not alone.

How the work happens

Coaching sessions happen one-on-one over a secure, PIPEDA-compliant video call software (or by phone if you prefer). Workshops run in small groups on a set cohort schedule. Both are 50 minutes.

Individual parent coaching

One-on-one virtual sessions for parents navigating their own regulation, patterns, or specific situations with a child. Weekly or biweekly to start. You choose the rhythm.

Group workshops

Small-cohort workshops (like RegulatED) that meet weekly for a set number of weeks, held virtually. You get frameworks, practice, and the support of other parents in the same season.

Fees & insurance

Individual sessions are $175 for 50 minutes. Workshop pricing varies by cohort and length. As a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC), sessions are eligible for coverage under most extended health plans in BC that recognize the RCC designation, and many that recognize CCC. Coverage varies, so check with your provider.

Common Questions

Should I choose individual coaching or a group workshop?

Both work. Individual coaching is more tailored to your specific family and pace. Workshops offer structure, community, and the reassurance of not doing this alone. In our free consultation, we can figure out what would fit best.

My child is the one struggling. Should I still come, or should they?

Often, both. Parents doing their own regulation work makes an enormous difference in how a child's system settles. Sometimes the parent coming first is exactly what unlocks the young person being able to come later. If your child is 12 or older and wants to talk to someone directly, the Youth Counselling page has more.

What credentials do you hold?

I'm a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). Both designations reflect meeting rigorous standards for education, supervised clinical experience, and ethical practice.

Are sessions covered by insurance?

Individual sessions are eligible for coverage under most extended health plans in BC that recognize the RCC designation, and many that recognize CCC. Workshop coverage varies. Check with your provider; I provide receipts you can submit directly for reimbursement.
